idn play is the largest Asian poker network. According to Pokerscout it’s also one of the 2nd largest networks worldwide. Most of its traffic comes from Indonesia and China. It operates over many different skins that are targeted towards different Asian markets and work in local currencies such as Chinese Renminbi, Korean Won, Indonesian Rupiah, Malaysian Ringgit, Vietnamese Dong etc.
Despite its impressive size, idnplay doesn’t have an international presence and is mostly unknown in the English-speaking market. They do have a solid presence in Asian markets however and are active in hosting gaming events and charitable tournaments.
IDNPlay is a great network for recreational players from Asia, but it’s not suitable for grinders or regulars. It’s soft field compensates for its other flaws, but it’s not as fast or efficient as some of the other major networks.
The idnplay client is fairly old-fashioned. It’s not a smooth experience to use and has some bugs and issues from time to time. The software also is not very customizable, making it hard to adapt it to your needs and playing style.
The poker site offers a few different promotions and bonuses. Its first deposit bonus is quite generous and there are also some rakeback deals on offer. However, the network has a set rake of 3% in cash games. This is very high for a poker site and makes it unsuitable for low stakes grinders. On the other hand, it does have a decent MTT rake.
