Official Betting Partnerships inked by Major Leagues

A host of official betting partnerships has been inked by professional sports leagues in the last year, bringing new content and gambling to the stadium experience. MLB, NBA, and NHL have each partnered with the league to offer live betting odds. These partnerships will allow the leagues to provide more up-to-date information to sportsbooks and give their odds a longer shelf life. While bookmakers have relied on commercial data feeds for decades, this latest development marks the first time that a professional sports league has chosen a partner to use official league data.

Official betting solutions offer an enhanced live-betting experience, which is essential for sports fans. In the U.S., sports betting became legal in 2018. NASCAR wanted to offer its fans an official data product and betting solution for sportsbooks. It developed a first-of-its-kind official sportsbook product that includes over 25 in-race bets, giving fans across regulated states an interactive, high-quality live betting experience.

In an effort to encourage more viewers to place wagers on golf and other sports, the PGA Tour has partnered with bet365, a UK-based betting company. The partnership will make bet365 the official betting operator for the series outside of North America. It will be the exclusive source of odds on leaderboards, player pages, and the TOURCast, which features 3d renderings of each shot.
