The professional Tournament Directors Association (PTDA) is the organization that oversees poker rules. Founded in 2001, it has more than 2,500 members in 63 countries, and includes the owners, operators and managers of live poker rooms, circuits, and independent tournaments. At its Summit, the PTA reviews poker rules, and many members of the TDA serve on its board. Listed below are some important rules to know when playing poker. The official poker rules require that all players follow certain etiquette guidelines. A player should never reveal the type of hand they are holding unless it is necessary to do so. If you see that someone is acting out of turn, don’t do it! This is against the game’s rules. Instead, act according to the rules and do not reveal your hand to your friends. Similarly, you shouldn’t offer advice or give other players advice.
