The Official Poker Tournament Rules

The professional Tournament Directors Association (PTDA) is the organization that sets the rules of poker tournaments worldwide. Founded in 2001 by poker players Linda Johnson, David Lamb, and Matt Savage, the PTA now has over 2,500 members from 63 countries. Its membership includes managers of large live poker rooms, independent tournaments, and circuits. Its board of directors includes WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel. It is intended to provide a uniform set of rules throughout the world.
