What Is Official Betting?

Official betting is an element of sports wagering that involves a bet placed on a specific outcome of a game or event. This type of bet is often called a Futures Bet, and it can include betting on the winner of a championship or individual player awards, for example, the league Most Valuable Player award. It is important to remember that sports wagering is a form of gambling and it is important to gamble responsibly. Licensed sportsbooks offer resources to help bettors control their gambling habits, such as support services and tools that allow customers to self-exclude from betting sites for a set period of time.
